Char Punke has always been attracted to color and texture.  A native of Central Illinois, she transitioned from weaving to quilted art during our country’s bicentennial.  Fabric art opened the door to her creativity.  She found many more uses for color, texture, and design.  She continues to expand her designs by incorporating fabric painting and sun-printing into her jackets and wall hangings.  She holds a BA in Liberal Arts and an MA in Counseling; however, creative expression has become her soul work.
