Dahl Delu

 Dahl Delu studied scenery, costume, lighting design, and scenic painting in both his undergraduate (San Francisco State University) and graduate studies (University of Minnesota). He also minored in studio art and art history for both Bachelor of Arts and Master of Fine Arts degrees.

 Dahl has been painting in acrylic, watercolor and oils since college and has been shown in many galleries in the United States as well as Mexico and Europe.

 Dahl moved to Albuquerque in July of 2009 and is currently a member of the Corrales Society of Artists and the Rio Grande Artists Association. He is chairman of the RGAA annual Encantada exhibition.

He is best known for his extensive work in American Theatre and Television. Early in his career he designed sets, costumes, lighting, and painted scenery for Broadway, Opera, Regional Theatre, and Children’s Theatre.

 In 1980 he began his television career as Art Director for Norman Lear's company and has received two EMMY awards for Outstanding Art Direction and Production Design.
