Mary Davis Hamlin
Mary Davis Hamlin has recently moved to
Placitas, New Mexico from Colorado to slow her life down to allow more
time to paint. For many years, she worked for several
non-profits as a public policy mediator, focusing on environmental and
health policy issues and disputes. She grew up on the east coast
primarily in Virginia and New Orleans. Using oils, acrylics, and
pastels, she paints what she knows and loves which usually includes
landscapes, animals, flowers and trees. Her work is often
punctuated by scenes from recent travels-recently featuring Southeast
Asia and Africa. She shows her work at the Nob Hill Gallery and
also is a member of the Corrales Society of Artists.
