Welcome to the Nob Hill Art Gallery. I
was born in the great state of New Mexico, “The Land of Enchantment”
in 1958. My family roots reside in Rio Arriba County. At a very young
age my family made its way to Nebraska where the call to duty with the
United Nations summoned my father to work in Ankara Turkey. The better
part of my childhood was spent immersed in this remarkable third world
culture. Upon returning to the United States, Colorado was chosen by
the family as home base. Within a few years I began what was to become
a 27 year career with Poudre Fire Authority. A brief exposure to the
world of sculpture came during a one-hour summer art program offered
to my daughter’s fourth grade class through the local school district.
Although very intrigued by the little clay head I had created, my
potential would lie dormant for the next six years. I am grateful to
Brenda and my daughter Megan for encouraging me at the ripe old age of
42 to explore the beauty of bronze sculpture once again. Support into
this endeavor from friends and family has been gracious and very much
appreciated. To all of them I say “Thank you”. Today I find myself
enjoying the experience of coming full circle. I have returned to New
Mexico to live and play. I find the new energy of this spiritual place
remarkable as I continue to hone my skills. New images of the
southwest appear in my head and are transformed into new work. My
Gallery will also show softer work reflected in “Liah’s Book Club”,
image of a small child expressing her love for books as she reads to
her stuffed animals. Also seen is a call to the more contemporary
audience with “The Posse”. The towering images of these guardians of
law stand to remind us of days gone by from the Wild West. My hope is
for the day to see these figures transformed into monument size
sculptures. Thank you for visiting and enjoy. Tim
