We occasionally accept new artists at the Nob Hill Gallery.  Here’s how the gallery operates: We are a co-op gallery, which means that the artists own and operate the gallery. There is a $200 fee to join the gallery, an $80/month fee to pay the rent and advertise, and a 15% commission on all sales. All artists are expected to spend one day every twenty days at the gallery as sales people.

 

The process of joining the gallery is juried: prospective artists fill in an application form, send it in to the gallery, and bring three (or more) of their works to the gallery at 6 PM on the second Monday of the month. The artists present vote on whether to accept the new artist who is notified within a few days by mail.
